Journal of Race, Ethnicity, and Religion

Peer-reviewed scholarship on the relationships among race, ethnicity, religion, culture, and power.

A journal built to widen the scholarly conversation.

The Journal of Race, Ethnicity, and Religion is the official journal of the Society of Race, Ethnicity, and Religion. Founded in 2010, it prioritizes scholarship by and about communities of color and examines religion as a dynamic social identity.

JRER highlights perspectives historically underrepresented in mainstream academic publishing. Its work explores social movements, identity formation, theology, justice, and the ways race, ethnicity, and religion shape one another.
