Self-publishing can offset this equity gap in theory, yet most self-published books fail because producing a beautiful book is genuinely hard. Capable writers are not necessarily capable publishers. The gap between manuscript and finished book requires experience, infrastructure, and someone who cares about the outcome as much as you do. ExactRush bridges that gap. ExactRush was founded to give authors and creatives a stronger return on their work. Book sales already operate on thin margins, while many traditional presses offer royalty rates of only 5 to 10 percent and still expect authors to shoulder much of the marketing. Some even ask authors to bring their own money. Our partnership model protects the value authors create: we invest our editorial and production expertise, share the risk, and earn alongside the author when the book succeeds.
